Touko Valio Laaksonen (8 May 1920 – 7 November 1991), best known by his pseudonym Tom of Finland, was a Finnish artist known for his stylized highly masculinized homoerotic
art, and for his influence on late twentieth century gay culture. He
has been called the "most influential creator of gay pornographic
images" by cultural historian Joseph W. Slade.[2] Over the course of four decades, he produced some 3,500 illustrations, mostly featuring men with exaggerated primary and secondary sex traits, wearing tight or partially removed clothing.

Thanks for presenting all of these. His illustrations are so wonderful. I can never get enough.
ReplyDeleteI'd be really interested to know who he used to model for him, and whether all his drawings involved life drawing or an extraordinary memory and imagination? A superb knowledge of anatomy would be needed to describe the body and musculature to create these wonderful images.
ReplyDeleteLove Tom Of Finland drawings with muscular horse hung men!!!
